Copolymer of Sodium P-Styrene Sulfonate and Maleic (SSS/MA)

Product Features

SSS/MA is maleic anhydride/sulfonated styrene copolymer, the scale inhibition rate of calcium carbonate, phosphate, calcium sulfate is more than 90%, and has excellent ability to disperse iron oxide, stable rate of zinc ion is more than 90%.

Adding SSS/MA to boiler water can effectively prevent the accumulation of scale and sludge, and disperse or regulate the accumulated sludge so that it can be removed by blowing.

It prevents sediment formation on the water side surface, maintains effective heat transfer, and reduces the incidence of boiler clean-ups, thus reducing operating costs.

Applications & Usage

SSS/MA is usually combined with organic phosphonate in 3 ~ 15mg/L, which is used for circulating cooling water treatment and in-furnace treatment of low-pressure boilers. It has a good effect of inhibiting scale generation and peeling off old scale, and the scale inhibition rate can reach 98%.

After combining EDTMPS and SSS/MA in 1:3 ratio, it can be used for water treatment in low-pressure boilers. When SSS/MA is combined with zinc salt, the corrosion of carbon steel can be effectively prevented.
